To manage anger, use immediate calming techniques like deep breathing, counting, and stepping away from triggers, while also practicing long-term strategies such as identifying triggers, improving communication, regular exercise, and seeking professional help like CBT if needed, focusing on healthy expression rather than suppression.

  • Deep Breathing: Inhale slowly, then exhale longer than you inhaled to calm your body's fight-or-flight response.

  • Count to 10 (or more): Give yourself time to think before reacting impulsively.

  • Time-Out: Physically remove yourself from the situation to gain clarity.

  • Distraction: Listen to music, go for a walk, or focus on something else to break the cycle of anger.

  • Calming Self-Talk: Use phrases like "Take it easy" or "I can handle this".
